Cockapoo [Foley]

Who are this season s hot, fashionable canines? The designer dogs have entered center stage and are gaiting down the runway and into the homes of countless American dog lovers. No longer the poor stepchildren of our nation s indiscreet Poodles and Cocker Spaniels, the Cockapoo has arrived and is finally basking in the glow of its own followspot. Today s Cockapoo offers dog owners many advantages over its two parental breeds: superior intelligence, an easier-care hypoallergenic coat, improved health and longevity and reliable, biddable temperaments. Is there any doubt why lifelong Poodle and Cocker Spaniel enthusiasts have jumped on the happy-go-lucky bandwagon of this irresistible designer dog? While the Cockapoo has been a recognizable dog in the United States since the 1950s, never before has there been a major publication available dedicated to him and his many charms and appealing attributes. This new Designer Dog SeriesTM edition benefits from the expertise of its author, noted Cockapoo breeder Mary D. Foley, the founder and president emeritus of the Cockapoo Club of America. She has been involved with breeding and promoting the Cockapoo since the 1970s. The colorful book covers all aspects of selecting and caring for the Cockapoo and much more.
